Nissan has increased production of the Qashqai to cope with demand
We thought the original Nissan Qashqai was a decent car. It looks set to improve in a number of important areas when the 2010 Qashqai hits showrooms in March, and it seems that the great car buying public is in agreement as Nissan has just announced that they are to increase production at their plant in Sunderland to cope with demand for the new Qashqai. With all the grief in the car industry last year Nissan cut production back to two shifts in Sunderland.
WITH VIDEO -- Underground Racing, the Charlotte, N.C., tuning shop that broke the 250-mph mark with a twin-turbo Lamborghini Gallardo in Texas last spring, saw that car crash on Oct. 23 after making another run at the Texas Mile high-speed challenge. Video of the run, posted on YouTube, shows the orange Gallardo passing the 1-mile marker on the closed runway, deploying a parachute and veering to the right and off the runway.
A TYRE that was completely bald after being taken off a high-performance BMW has sparked warnings from tyre safety charity TyreSafe. The shocking pictures of the incredibly dangerous tyre, whose owner is lucky to be alive, show the extent of the lengths to which some people are pushing the limits of safety. As it is, the tyre would be almost completely ineffective in wet or damp conditions, and how the driver had avoided an accident is a mystery.
